Wins: Serban Draghici at Cluj-Napoca WCQ Regional (39 players), Tyler DeGrand at Lansing WCQ Regional (117), Edgar Soto at Santo Domingo WCQ Regional (58), Nils Osinski at Mönchengladbach WCQ Regional (67). All are regionals. No event here is bigger than 300 players.
02Identity and win condition
The deck is an Elfnote Synchro shell built around the center Main Monster Zone, with a Power Patron / Ars Magna package on top. Elfnote Lucina and Elfnote Fortuna each "Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your center Main Monster Zone". Elfnote Regina, "Summoned to the center Main Monster Zone", lets you "Special Summon 1 "Elfnote" monster from your Deck". Elfnote Power Patron then raises the center monster's Level "by 3" and lets you "Synchro Summon 1 "Elfnote" Synchro Monster or 1 "Junora the Power Patron of Tuning"". It also locks you: "You cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except Synchro Monsters."
The game ends on big Power Patron bodies, not on burn. Vidolium the Unstable Power Patron of Unity is "Unaffected by monster effects, except "Power Patron" monsters", and on summon it does "Banish (face-down) all cards in the GYs". It is not Summoned with a cost. It has a summoning procedure: "Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck or GY) by returning 3 monsters (1 Fusion, 1 Synchro, and 1 Xyz) from your face-up field and/or GY to the Extra Deck". Mediclius the Extraordinary Power Patron, pointing at 1+, can "negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls" and, pointing at 3, "banish this card, also all cards your opponent controls".
03Core engine and ratios
Main-deck cards at 60% inclusion or more (per_archetype, as inclusion / avg copies). Hand traps are listed under Going first / going second.
- Elfnote Lucina 100% / 3.0: "add 1 "Elfnote" monster from your Deck to your hand".
- Elfnote Regina 100% / 3.0: the deck-summon above, plus "If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can add this card to your hand."
- Elfnote Fortuna 100% / 1.0: "place 1 "Elfnote" Continuous Trap from your hand or Deck, face-up". That trap is Elfnotes: Rhapsodia of Madness (100% / 1.0), which revives an Elfnote and, "if you control a Synchro Monster", can "negate the effects of 1 face-up card your opponent controls".
- Elfnote Power Patron 100% / 2.14: on use as Synchro Material it does "add 1 "Elfnote" card from your Deck".
- Medius the Pure 100% / 2.0: "add to your hand, or Special Summon, 1 "Power Patron" monster from your Deck".
- Theorealize Past Lull 100% / 1.0: "Special Summon 1 "Medius the Pure" from your hand or Deck. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when that monster is Special Summoned."
- Vidolium 100% / 1.52 and Junoldo the Shadespirit Power Patron 100% / 1.0. Junoldo's Pendulum effect does "draw 2 cards, then discard 1".
- Prohibited Power Patron Portal - Terminus 100% / 1.0 (Limited): "Send 1 "Power Patron" monster from your Deck/Extra Deck to the GY, then you can add 1 DARK Fairy monster".
- Theorealized Medius 95% / 1.0, Ars Magna the Finite and the Infinite 95% / 1.9, Ars Magna the Division and the Union 95% / 1.0, Ars Magna the Corruption and the Purification 95% / 1.05, Ars Magna "Citrinitas" 95% / 1.75. Citrinitas "is always treated as an "Artmage", "DoomZ", and "Elfnote" card". That makes it a Past Lull enabler on its own (my reading).
- Theorealize 76% / 1.0. Pendulum Treasure 62% / 1.92 puts Vidolium or Junoldo face-up in the Extra Deck, which triggers their "added to your Extra Deck face-up" effects: Vidolium can "add 1 "Power Patron" card from your Deck to your hand", and Junoldo can "add 1 "Power Patron" or "Elfnote" card from your face-up Extra Deck or GY to your hand".
04Flex and tech
The main deck is close to locked. The flex sits in Nervedo the Shadebeast Power Patron (57%), Elfnotes: Welcome Home (24%), and the hand-trap mix. Everything else in the main deck is at 14% or below. In the Extra Deck, seven cards are at 95% or more, including Purification Power Patron and S:P Little Knight (Elfnote June Pride is at 100%). The variance is in Psychic End Punisher (67%), Ravenous Crocodragon Archethys (62%), The Executor of the Underworld - Pluto (62%), Zalen the Shackled Dragon (52%), Junora the Power Patron of Tuning (48%) and Chaos Angel (43%).
05Going first / going second
Droll & Lock Bird (Limited) is at 71%. Only 1 list mains a card from the JSON board_breakers role (Forbidden Droplet ×3, per_archetype 5% / 3.0). The main decks spend their non-engine slots on hand traps, not board breakers.
06Choke points and what stops it
- Lucina's search and Regina's deck summon. These are the first Deck-touching steps. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring stops "Add a card from the Deck to the hand" and "Special Summon from the Deck". Both are monster effects on the field, so Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit ("When a monster on the field activates its effect … destroy that card") also applies.
- Medius the Pure → Power Patron. Ash applies. Past Lull only stops responses "when that monster is Special Summoned".
- Searches overall. Lucina, Elfnote Power Patron, Medius, Terminus, Theorealized Medius and Citrinitas all add from the Deck. Droll & Lock Bird: "cards cannot be added from either player's Main Deck to the hand".
- Extra Deck volume. Mulcharmy Fuwalos: "Each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) from the Deck and/or Extra Deck, immediately draw 1 card". Hand-summoned Lucina and Fortuna feed Mulcharmy Purulia. A full combo can reach Nibiru's "5 or more monsters".
- Face-up continuous spells and traps. Rhapsodia and Citrinitas sit face-up. Typhoon: "Target 1 face-up Spell/Trap on the field; destroy it."
- GY effects. Medius the Pure's revival, Past Lull's banish effect and Theorealize's banish effect all activate in the GY. Skull Meister: "When a card effect is activated in your opponent's GY … negate that effect."
07Side deck
19% each, and Triple Tactics Thrust 14% (tied with six other cards at 14%). The board breakers sit in the side, not the main. Typhoon targets the face-up Citrinitas and Rhapsodia; Skull Meister hits the GY effects listed above.
08Playing against it
Going second, the earliest Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring hits Lucina's search or Regina's deck summon. If Medius comes off Theorealize Past Lull, "Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when that monster is Special Summoned" applies. Droll & Lock Bird only activates "If a card(s) is added from the Main Deck to your opponent's hand", so it lands after the first search, and it stops every later search that turn. Fuwalos needs "If you control no cards", and draws on each summon "from the Deck and/or Extra Deck", so it is best used before Regina's deck summon. Typhoon and Cosmic Cyclone line up with Citrinitas and Rhapsodia, and Skull Meister with the Medius and Theorealize GY effects. Going first, Vidolium is "Unaffected by monster effects, except "Power Patron" monsters", so a monster-effect-negation end board cannot answer it. Plan on spell or trap answers, or on stopping the setup before it reaches Vidolium.
