Magnificent Maestros Forecast

Toon is the only new deck in Magnificent Maestros with real results: it won the Japan Championship. Unchained and Witchcrafter have one OCG list each.

• Toon: 22 of 96 OCG top-cut lists since 2026-05-30 (22.9%), second only to Kewl Tune (26).
• The TCG version is weaker on paper: Toon Table of Contents and Toon Bookmark are Limited here; OCG lists ran 3 of each.

01Toon is the one real signal

• Won Yu-Gi-Oh! Japan Championship 2026 (2026-07-18) and took 2nd there too.
• Won WCQ 2026 China Mainland Qualifying Regional - Shanghai Station (2026-06-14).
• 10 lists at YCSJ Osaka (2026-06-13), best a top 4.
• Every one of the 22 lists runs 3 Funny Dark Rabbit, 3 Perfect Toon World, 1 Evil Box and 1 Toon Terror. Animimicat averages 2.73.
• 21 of 22 run Maxx "C", which is Forbidden in the TCG.

No TCG list plays a Toon card today. MAMS is the first test.

02What Toon runs into in the TCG

The TCG field runs Ash (98.29% of lists), Fuwalos (98.29%), Droll (92.31%) and Ogre (91.45%) (2026-11-07 Decks to Beat).

Toon Terror (1 in every list) negates "a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect" while they control "Toon World" and a Toon monster. Your hand traps run into it. Bait it first.

Toon's answer to your hand: Mind Scan ("your opponent must keep their hand revealed"), in 8 of 96 OCG lists.

03Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon: Limited from day one

It enters the TCG at Limited with MAMS, per the 2026-10-19 list. 13 of 145 OCG lists (9.0%), 10 of them Toon.

Link-5 off "1+ Link Monsters". Wipes your monsters when Link Summoned and after every battle it's in. It is also LIGHT, WATER, FIRE and WIND, and "unaffected by the activated effects of monsters with the same Attribute": Effect Veiler, Ogre and Nibiru, the Primal Being (all LIGHT) do nothing to it. Answer it with Infinite Impermanence, Forbidden Droplet or Spell/Trap removal.

04Everything else: no evidence yet

• Unchained and Witchcrafter: one OCG list each. That's a decklist, not a trend.
• Deep-Eyes White Dragon, the Blue Abyss: 3 lists, all Kewl Tune.
• Lightning Crash: 4 lists, 3 of them Blitzclique.
